JC Penneys Building

A two story steel, brick and glass building in the modern style built for the J C Penney department store. When this store was built, Penneys had one other store in Milwaukee and this was part of their expansion into downtown Milwaukee. In 1961 the store was remodeled and enlarged with an extra 11,000 square feet of floor space. The original building dimensions were 150x200 feet.
