How about a forum for posting time-sensitive alerts about items that might be of interest to the group? For example, right now there are a number of Milwaukee Brewer photos (not mine) on eBay. These range from the 1920s to the 1940s and show warm-ups at Borchert Field. Search "Milwaukee photo" and you will find them.
